Last post ever. For now. Ever.

No time now, but I'll probably post again some day. Probably. Maybe not.

Left 4 Dead 2

I've been way too busy with personal and job-related stuff to post lately. Anyways, E3 is here! And even though I didn't get to go, some awesome stuff was showcased, including a new Left 4 Dead coming up! It looks exciting to say the least. I'll post my opinions on it later. For now, check out the trailer!

New Parkour Game

It seems like all I do nowadays is post Kotaku articles. Anyways, this looks so freakin' amazing. After watching it over and over, I'm (sadly) starting to doubt that the video is actual gameplay. Regardless, I want to see more!

Texas May Force Sex Offenders To Register Gamertags

I can see it now, two years in the future, me searching for sex offenders to troll. I love it.

Childhood Memories Revisited with Paper Moon

The free in-browser game site, Blurst.com, has a new game up called Paper Moon by Infinite Ammo. Check it out if you have a few minutes to spare. The game is so fun and satisfying that I find myself going back to it often to immerse myself in that world. And make sure your sound is on! The music is fantastic and really helps set the mood.

Velvet Assassin

If someone told me a couple of months ago that I could be a woman spy, where I can sneak around, dress up like the enemy, and stab Nazis, I would have replied with, "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!"

Velvet Assassin is out on Steam right now! And I'm swamped with work and no time to play! Damn it! There aren't any reviews out at the moment about it (because of a company buyout), so maybe waiting to buy it is a good idea, but Jesus Christ it looks like an awesome game. I know I'll be getting it sooner or later.

So far, my only gripe with the game is a similar one that AJ Glasser of Kotaku has with it. What I gather from the screenshots, you spend half the game with camera angles that focus on the protagonist's tight-fitted, leather-clad ass. But that's a rant that I'll save for another day.

Check out Kotaku's impression of the game or at least watch the trailer on Steam's site.

Apoplexy

It seems like my last idea [Link Here] will be forgotten for now. I tried pitching it but lots of things fell through, specifically the higher-ups. But anyways, it looks like this company has another project to work on soon. I can't say much about it, but I will say that I feel a tide coming.

Man, I just had a messed up dream.

I think I'll pitch it to my co-workers for a game idea.

Bartle Test of Gamer Psychology

Today, I took the Bartle Test of Gamer Psychology again. If you haven't heard of it, the test is just a series of short questions that helps determine the type of gamer you are. I don't remember the specifics of each category, but you can get the gist of it by the names alone: Killer, Explorer, Socializer, Achiever.

It would be cool if the test was more complex, to pin down exactly the type of gamer you really are. I mean, I personally think I'm more of a Griefer than a Killer. There's more than one way to skin a cat, or to make people go nuts in my case. But hey it's a short, fun test that gives you a short, fun label.

The last time I took the test was about nine months ago when I first started working at this company. I heard that my co-workers that started out as either a Killer, Socializer, or Achiever are now all Explorers and that I'm one of the few non-Explorer types left. That kind of scares me. Is this company brainwashing my friends? If so, how come it hasn't worked on me yet? Am I too stupid or stubborn to change my ideals?? Ah, who the hell knows. Check out the test if you're bored. It's pretty cool.

Black Betty

So I finally saw (most of) Forgetting Sarah Marshall. (Damn, I love Kristen Bell.) And as much as I enjoyed the movie, I could not get over the hot girl falling for the goofy guy whose life has fallen to pieces. Even before anything hinted to it, I told myself, "They are going to fall in love and wacky hijinks will ensue." AND I WAS RIGHT. Sometimes I hate being right. This shit doesn't happen in real life. Where do I even start with that? Before I go on a three hour rant, I'm going to let it die. I don't give a shit. Give nerds like us false hope in a wacky movie with hot girls who fall for average guys. What do I care.

In other news, CHECK THIS SHIT OUT ! They recently released some Bioshock 2 gameplay at GameTrailers.com. Looks rockin', even without Ken Levine. I've got friends that doubt it because Levine's not there, but I say it could go either way. We'll see how 2K Games does it. Here's some more info on Bioshock 2 at Four Fat Chicks.

I left my home where the dead never rose

I slept over twenty hours yesterday. I think that's a new record.

Anyways, today's my birthday 8) So as a birthday gift to myself, I've decided to do whatever the hell I want until the 11th is over. So I've been painting, for like eight hours. I've also been playing a lot of Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2. It's been awesome. Gonna take a nap since I've been up for a while. Then I'll wake up and start painting again. Can't wait! It's been a good day.

Drinking the Midnight Oil

YES! SECOND ALL-NIGHTER THIS WEEK!!

I'm drinking caffeine out of a wine glass and taking names. It's cool, Good Friday is tomorrow, and luckily I'll be off that day. I'm planning on collapsing when I get home tonight and waking up some time on Easter. You know. For symbolism. And for some catch-up. My body hates me so much right now for torturing it.

Relevant to My Interests

Every Tuesday and Friday morning, I'm stuck in a place I don't want to be. The time I'm stuck there is long, the place itself is pointless, and it is a constant reminder that there is no God. The only thing keeping me from hurting myself (or biting others) is going to Cgunit.net and checking out the awesome artists posted there.

It's not worksafe, but I'm an artist, so I can (kind of) get away with looking at nudity at work. I love this site. And you will too.

The Times They Are a-Changin'

I found an interesting article about the social aspect of games and how it's changed. The article kind of floats around, presenting random ideas, and doesn't really answer anything; but at the end it made me think. Is "multiplayer" going in the right direction? Should we rethink the way we're making games? What are the consequences if we keep doing things the same way? As a game developer, I can't imagine the result of my work destroying the minds of tomorrow's youth. Maybe I'm overthinking it, since I'm connecting points that weren't even in the article, but man the future scares me.

May the Living Be Dead

There is no rule in interior design that suggests matching your carpet and your drapes. If you're looking for a monochromatic design, then keep your drapes in the same hue as your carpet. It doesn't mean that they have to "match" perfectly, just in the same color range. If you choose a monochromatic design, make sure to add texture to avoid a boring feel.

If you're looking for an accent color, you can use that color in your drapes. Or, you can choose a stripe or pattern and incorporate the carpet color into your drapes. It's all about personal preference.

GIT ER DONE GIT ER DONE GIT ER DONE

It's great the things I accomplish when I'm procrastinating. Just now, I rearranged the living room, cleaned up my room, dominated a sink full of dishes, and now I'm thinking of either doing the laundry or finishing my work.

Maybe I should finish my work.
